Foreword: This Maxscript section is more an article because the scripts i wrote, may useless for you. But i want to show, what i'm able to script. I think it can be important for a company, to have artists which can create small scripts to improve their or better: the com…

As i started using normal maps, i had the problem, that sometimes there was very ugly seems on edges with huge angle. You can avoid this seems by using one smoothing group to the whole object but than you get very ugly shading. Later i got a better solution, see the picture below.

Oberservatoy

I designed this observatory during my studies at the Games Academy and decided to produce it as a 3D model. I learnt a lot. I signed up in an architecture forum and discussed my work with some specialist. Very impressive, they have a very tiny knowledge about 3D and texturing but a lot of any architectural details. It did it in Maya/Photoshop and no normal maps are used for it.

My contract says i'm a 3D artist for modelling and animation. That means environment artist, fire fighter, bug fixing / max scripting guy, wiki user and a lot more.
First i did some basic props - good to learn 3Ds Max because during my studies i only used maya. To show up our models in the modelviewer we have to create three script files - very anoying, time expensive and of course fault-prone. I decided to learn Maxscript and to write a script creating this script files for us. During my time a…

The idea of the picture: God (represented by the cross of light) is returning in its old church.

To enter the competition you had to choose one of these concepts and rebuild it in your way (read the rules for more information). I decided to go for this picture and made a very simple overpaint of my idea.
